In this workshop participants will be led through a land-based mask building technique that will involve the close study of the natural environment that surrounds them and an exploration of their relationship with the land. We will discuss interspecies relationships and how the process of gathering and building form nature can influence creative output. Finally participants will be given the opportunity to write and perform from the mask they have created and work through some basic mask performance and creation exercises.
